There are many ways to support Girls at Work, Inc. And with over 90% of our girls needing full or partial scholarship support to participate in our programs, your support is very important to us…and more importantly, to the girls. Thanks to our generous supporters, we never turn any girls away. You truly have the power to empower them.
In addition to critical annual gifts, sponsorships, and scholarship giving, donors often ask about our future plans and our “wish list”. These items include: taking our woodworking builds “on the road” to middle schools so we can empower 500+ girls at a time; expanding the workshop space and adding instructors at our Manchester Millyard headquarters so we can expand programming to better meet the need; conducting a communications audit, then creating a more comprehensive and effective marketing and communications program; and expanding to other parts of New Hampshire…or maybe beyond.
Here are a few ways you can help empower the girls, and if you have any questions, feel free to call us at 603-345-0392 or drop us an email.
Sponsor the Girls
We offer annual sponsorship levels from $7,500 to $30,000. As we look to expand our program across NH and the country, we also offer expansion and sustaining sponsorships for those new sites, starting at $75,000. Our sponsorships allow you or your company to make one pledge for the year and be a sponsor of ALL our programs, events and activities and to use our space. Your sponsorship contribution will cover the program or camp fees for girls and families in need, so no girl is ever turned away. A couple of our annual sponsorship levels may be reviewed here, and we will gladly customize a package for you. Some levels offer team build opportunities for your employees.

Employer Matching Gifts
Double or triple your impact through a matching gift program, where an employer or company will match donations to charitable organizations. Giving a gift of stock or mutual fund is an easy way to support us. Just as with cash gifts, you will receive a federal income tax donation for the full market value of any securities you donate, as long as you have owned them for at least one year. You may also avoid the capital gains taxes you would owe if you sold these securities. Please contact us prior to making a transfer so we can match the funds received to you, the donor.
Donor Advised Fund Gifts
There are several benefits to making a gift to Girls at Work through donor advised funds (DAF’s). The funds are flexible, there is a low cost, you receive immediate and maximum tax benefits, it provides administrative convenience, and it also provides privacy.
Tribute & Memorial Gifts
If you want to honor a friend or a loved one, consider making a gift to Girls at Work in their honor. If you provide their contact information to us, we’ll gladly inform them that a gift has been made. “In Honor Of” and “In Memory Of” gifts can also be made online via our online giving form. If planning a funeral and considering us as a beneficiary for giving, here is suggested wording for use in an obituary: “In lieu of flowers, please make a gift in (name here)’s honor to Girls at Work, Inc. either online at www.girlswork.org/give, or by mailing a check to: Girls at Work, Inc., 200 Bedford Street, Manchester, NH 03101-1153.”

Real Estate & Life Estate Gifts
