Development Manager

What you’ll do:
- Collaborate and report to the Executive Director to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies and initiatives that align with the Girls at Work goals and priorities.
- Develop and implement Girls at Work’s annual fundraising plan, including stewardship.
- Secure financial support from individuals, corporations, grants, etc.
- Cultivate and grow new and ongoing relationships with donors.
- Oversee organization and implementation of special events and fundraisers.
- Manage and grow donor management software (Bloomerang); complete accurate and meaningful constituent entry and gift processing.
- Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising utilizing CRM capabilities.
- Collaborate with external grant writing resources Girls at Work has contracted.
- Create and maintain online fundraising campaigns.
- Represent the organization externally, as necessary attending networking opportunities in the community which will require occasional evenings and weekends.
- Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies including the 25th year fundraising plan.
- Fine tune business sponsorship levels including a range of opportunities to donate.
- Build upon our relationship with NH Business for Social Responsibility.
- Other duties as needed from time to time that are inline with the individual’s skill set.
Skills you’ll need:
- Fundraising/sales experience and a minimum of 5 years.
- Passion for and commitment to the mission and values of Girls at Work, Inc.
- Ability to take what Girls at Work does and tell an impactful story
- Alignment with the culture of Girls at Work, Inc.
- Experience reaching or exceeding fundraising goals/sales goals.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong writing or marketing skills.
- Experience with Google Platform and CRM donor database.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in cultivating new donor relationships and strengthening existing ones.
- Experience to secure business sponsorships from companies unfamiliar with our mission, specifically businesses in the Amoskeag Millyard Community.
Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift up to 25lbs.
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Successfully pass a background check.

Woodworking or Program Instructor/Van Driver
Do you want to learn how to build? Girls at Work will provide the training.
What We provide:
- 4 day work week for the majority of the year (7 weeks of 5 days a week in the summer)

- Competitive pay range, with an average of 25-30 hours per week.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide a positive, trusting, safe and fun enviroment.
- Guide builders in critical thinking and problem solving.
- Guide up to 10 builders per class on how to use power tools (we will fully train you) while utilizing Socratic teaching methods.
- Greet and transport the girls from various Manchester school locations to Girls at Work (use of the GAW van)
- Use of classroom management techniques to keep builders on track.
- Give and receive feedback and support from everyone on our team while maintaining a positive mindset
- Participating in team building activities as we all learn to better communicate and work with one another
- Understand the importance of this position within our organization
- Believe in our girls wholeheartedly so that they are able to see their potential.
