Girls at Work’s STEAM program is a hands-on educational initiative designed to empower girls in their exploration of arts, sciences, and technology through immersive creative experiences.
Actively encouraging girls to ask questions, embrace failure as part of the learning process, and create without boundaries, our STEAM classroom fosters a culture of innovation and problem-solving. Through this approach, STEAM not only sparks imagination and creativity but also equips young minds with essential skills to tackle real-world challenges and contribute to their community in inventive and impactful ways.
Program Goals
- Pre-workforce development for Middle School girls, ages 10-14, in STEAM related fields
- Empowering girls through exposure to advanced technology, student lead projects, and critical thinking skills
- Sparking interest in young women through creative curriculum, encouraging them to explore fields in which women are statistically underrepresented
